Summary
AKA NYC is an award-winning, fully integrated advertising agency specializing in arts & entertainment, leisure, travel, retail, and tourism. The Assistant Media Planner supports the paid media team to ensure smooth planning, setup, QA, tracking, and reporting for digital advertising campaigns. This role reports to a Media Director and is based in New York City.
What you'll do
- Collaborate with the paid media team on planning and implementing media campaigns
- Organize and submit creative assets, ensuring deadlines are met for timely campaign launches
- Perform quality assurance checks on ad creatives, tracking links, and campaign elements for accuracy and performance
- Implement ad tags, pixels, and tracking parameters to enable proper tracking and measurement
- Troubleshoot and resolve ad serving issues, tracking discrepancies, and technical challenges with cross-functional teams
- Help produce regular reports on campaign delivery, performance metrics, and insights
- Assist in creating and presenting campaign documentation (e.g., media plans, strategy decks)
Requirements
- Approximately 1 year of experience in advertising/marketing, communications, media, or a related role
- Google Campaign Manager experience (required)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Ability to lead when needed, work well on a team, and operate autonomously
- Self-starter mindset with initiative and problem-solving ability in a fast-paced environment
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Interest in advertising and passion for theatre, arts/institutions, travel, and tourism categories
