Trade Marketing Manager
Summary
FIJI Water (part of The Wonderful Company) is a premium bottled water brand sold in more than 90 countries and focused on responsible business and community impact. The Trade Marketing Manager leads U.S. trade and shopper marketing strategy and programs across retail and on-premise channels to drive incremental volume and ROI. The role partners closely with Sales, Brand Marketing, analytics, and creative/vendor teams to deliver annual trade plans and execution.
What you'll do
- Spearhead development of the U.S. trade marketing strategy with U.S. Sales and Brand Marketing, aligned to commercial priorities and annual calendar focus periods.
- Lead national, regional, and account-specific trade/shopper marketing programs and toolkits (Retail and On-Premise), including sweepstakes, cross-promotions, and coupon programs to drive secondary display and incremental volume.
- Develop account-specific POS materials with Brand Marketing, Sales, internal design teams, and external vendors to ensure brand consistency and in-market effectiveness.
- Own and manage the annual trade marketing budget, including planning, tracking, and spend optimization to maximize ROI.
- Evaluate promotional effectiveness using Circana, Margin Minder, and internal sales data; convert insights into performance-improvement recommendations.
- Create and manage coupon programs end-to-end, including execution, tracking, and redemption analysis for future optimization.
- Administer and maintain the SharePoint site; distribute marketing materials and deliver clear weekly sales communications.
- Oversee POS fulfillment vendor operations to ensure accuracy, cost efficiency, and on-time delivery.
- Travel occasionally to support sales meetings and key account engagements.
Requirements
Experience: 4+ years in trade marketing, shopper marketing, or commercial marketing within CPG or Food & Beverage.
Demonstrated success building and executing national and account-specific trade marketing strategies that drive measurable sales lift and ROI.
People leadership: experience managing direct reports and leading cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.
Business/financial acumen: ability to manage budgets, evaluate trade spend effectiveness, and optimize investment across programs.
Advanced analytics experience with syndicated data (Circana or similar) and trade analytics tools; ability to translate insights into actionable recommendations.
Planning: proven ability to build annual trade calendars, align to brand priorities, and deliver against volume and revenue targets.
Vendor/creative collaboration: experience working with creative partners and external POS vendors.
Strong communication, presentation, organization, forecasting, and program tracking skills.
Education: Bachelor’s degree required (business major preferred).
Conditions
Location: based in West Los Angeles office with a hybrid schedule.
Schedule: in-office Monday–Wednesday; optional remote work Thursday and Friday.
Compensation: pay range $110,000–$120,000 annually plus potential discretionary bonus (converted monthly salary reflects midpoint estimate).
