Assistant Brand Manager - Shopper Marketing

Summary

Nom Nom is a dog nutrition company creating fresh, personalized meals designed by veterinary nutritionists and scientists. The Assistant Brand Manager (Shopper Marketing) role supports the expansion of Nom Nom’s retail presence by building and executing shopper marketing programs across key retail partners. The position focuses on driving awareness, trial, conversion, and consistent brand execution both online and in-store.

What you'll do

  • Develop and execute shopper marketing programs across brick-and-mortar and e-tail retailers to drive awareness, trial, and conversion.
  • Understand each retailer’s marketing ecosystem and manage tactics across digital, in-store, and media placements to maximize impact.
  • Partner closely with Sales to support retailer priorities, promotions, and joint business plans.
  • Own and optimize brand presence across retailer e-commerce platforms (e.g., product detail pages, brand stores, search, display, promotional placements).
  • Build and manage digital programs supporting product launches, promotions, and seasonal moments.
  • Manage retail media agency partners to maximize ROAS and align execution with broader brand initiatives.
  • Coordinate creation and management of digital assets with creative and media partners for best-in-class execution.
  • Lead in-store sampling and demo programs, including planning, execution, vendor management, and performance evaluation.
  • Ensure strong in-store presence through signage, displays, and merchandising aligned with brand standards.
  • Identify opportunities with retail and sales partners to improve shelf visibility and shopper engagement.
  • Analyze sales performance, promotional results, and campaign effectiveness; translate data into insights and recommendations.
  • Track KPIs, share learnings with internal stakeholders, and continuously optimize program performance.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Brand, Creative, Sales, and external agencies to deliver cohesive programs.
  • Support broader brand marketing needs (e.g., brand activation, influencer/creator support) as required.
  • Support go-to-market plans for new product launches across retail channels.

Requirements

  • Strategic and hands-on marketing capability with a strong understanding of retail and shopper marketing.

  • Ability to turn sales and campaign data into actionable insights and recommendations.

  • Experience managing shopper marketing tactics across digital, in-store, and retail media.

  • Experience collaborating cross-functionally with brand, sales, creative, and external agency partners.

  • Fluency in NielsenIQ or other syndicated data tools (preferred).

  • Ability to manage retail media efforts with a focus on ROAS and performance optimization.

  • Experience supporting product launches, promotions, and always-on retail initiatives.
