Territory Sales Representative - Roanoke VA
Summary
Phathom Pharmaceuticals is a biopharmaceutical company focused on transforming treatment for gastrointestinal diseases with its VOQUEZNA product portfolio. The Territory Sales Representative is responsible for meeting or exceeding sales goals in an assigned territory by engaging gastroenterologists, APPs, and select primary care physicians. The role partners with the Regional Sales Manager and cross-functional teams to execute territory business plans and drive pull-through activities.
What you'll do
Drive sales performance to meet or exceed territory sales objectives in compliance with company and regulatory standards.
Develop and maintain advanced product and disease-state expertise to deliver clinically focused messages and overcome objections with HCPs and office staff.
Assess territory market dynamics and identify market access opportunities to accelerate pull-through.
Collaborate with the Regional Sales Manager and Strategic Account Specialists to build and execute territory business plans.
Work with peers and commercial partners (marketing, training, sales operations) to share best practices and ensure strong operational execution.
Complete administrative responsibilities including effective CRM use and expense reporting.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
2+ years of successful medical sales experience (e.g., dental, medical device, laboratory, diagnostics) or 1+ year of pharmaceutical sales experience; GI specialty experience preferred.
Proven, consistent track record of sales success and performance.
Experience launching new products.
Demonstrated ability to leverage resources such as marketing, market access pull-through, and technology solutions.
Strong business acumen and analytical expertise.
Ability to build professional relationships with office staff and broader customer networks.
Success in both live and virtual customer interactions.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Strong technical skills including Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint) and digital meeting platforms (Veeva Engage, Teams, Zoom).
Valid driver’s license and safe driving record.
Conditions
Territory includes cities such as Blacksburg and Salem in addition to the Roanoke area.
Some overnight territory travel may be required depending on geography.
Travel to national, regional, and corporate office meetings may be required.
