Denver - Creative Producer

City Cast Denver is hiring a Creative Producer to help shape daily local coverage across its podcast, newsletter, and social channels. The role blends editorial development, production, writing, and regular on-mic contributions to drive smart, compelling local storytelling.

• Pitch compelling, relevant, timely ideas for the daily podcast, social content, and newsletter
• Write the daily newsletter on assigned days with voice, humor, clarity, and relevance
• Prepare for conversations you are producing or contributing to with the Host and Executive Producer
• Edit podcast episodes using Descript (or similar tools)
• Develop and maintain 2–3 regular beats or areas of expertise
• Occasionally go into the field to capture moments for social and other content
• Contribute regularly on-mic with personality, local knowledge, and expertise
• Collaborate with the Host and Audience Development Manager to create daily social media content
• Produce ads to be included in podcast episodes

• Deep passion and curiosity for Denver
• Good humor, teamwork, and eagerness to learn
• 3+ years of experience creating and/or editing editorial content
• Experience working in a deadline-driven editorial environment
• Excellent writing skills with a clear, engaging voice
• Experience with Descript or willingness to learn
• Confident on-mic presence and ability to prep and contribute meaningfully to podcast conversations
• Highly organized; able to juggle multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Experience making and editing video for social (plus)

• Full-time role reporting to the Senior Executive Producer of City Cast Denver

• Must be local; work is primarily remote
