Summary
Think Jam is a leading entertainment creative agency creating social-first work for major fandoms and franchises. The Social Creative role develops and produces high-impact, conversational social content (especially short-form vertical video) to engage and grow franchise audiences. This position blends trend-aware ideation, hands-on creation, and strategic planning in a fast-paced agency environment.
What you'll do
- Generate social ideas ranging from quick trend responses to larger creative concepts to keep franchise channels lively and relevant.
- Create platform-native content (including short-form vertical video) using native tools and phone apps, delivering approximately 5–10 pieces per week.
- Stay current on platform trends and emerging creators to keep channels up to speed.
- Write engaging copy and captions aligned with platform best practices and franchise tone of voice.
- Plan weekly content calendars and schedule posts in collaboration with a colleague.
- Ensure content follows brand guidelines and maintains consistent tone across platforms.
- Engage with the audience to foster community and active conversation.
- Monitor online conversations and franchise-related trends and adjust strategies accordingly.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Social Media Manager or similar role; preferred experience in entertainment or children’s content, or equivalent experience running/creating content for a growing social channel.
- Strong understanding of social platforms, trends, and best practices.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong content creation and conversational social experience with links/examples.
- Highly proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Adobe Premiere; comfortable editing client-provided footage into polished, platform-ready edits quickly.
- After Effects and light motion graphics (mograph) skills are a plus (not required).
- Video editing experience is a plus, but in-platform creation is most vital.
- Creative mindset with ability to generate innovative, potentially viral ideas.
- Passion for entertainment and film franchises, especially iconic characters.
Conditions
- Fully remote within the U.S.; no in-person attendance required.
- Being based in or near Los Angeles is helpful for occasional collaboration.

- Salary range listed as $60,000–$70,000 per year depending on experience.
