Summary
LinkedIn is seeking a Senior Director, Global Events & Executive Engagement to lead the enterprise-wide global events strategy and executive engagement programs. The role defines and delivers high-impact event experiences that deepen relationships with top customers, elevate the brand, and drive measurable business outcomes.
What you'll do
- Define and lead a global, multi-year events strategy aligned to company priorities, brand positioning, and business outcomes.
- Lead, inspire, and develop a distributed global team; establish governance, processes, and quality standards.
- Develop innovative event concepts and elevate events into immersive, content-rich experiences with exceptional hospitality.
- Oversee end-to-end planning and execution for executive experiences, regional customer/partner events, and large flagship conferences.
- Own strategy and execution for participation in industry conferences and third-party events; maximize sponsorships, speaking opportunities, executive meetings, and activations.
- Design and lead executive engagement programs; advise senior executives on agendas, experiences, and customer interactions.
- Build partnerships across Marketing, Sales, Customer Success, Product, Communications, and Finance; align senior stakeholders and communicate vision and results.
- Own global event operations, budgets, agencies, and vendor ecosystems; drive rigorous planning, risk management, and post-event evaluation.
- Define, track, and optimize success metrics (customer impact, pipeline influence, retention, satisfaction, and executive engagement outcomes).
Requirements
- 12+ years of experience leading global events or experiential marketing in a large, complex enterprise environment (technology or B2B preferred).
- 8+ years of leadership experience managing global teams, budgets, and agency partners.
- Ability to balance creative vision with operational excellence.
- Proven delivery of high-touch executive/customer hospitality programs and large-scale complex global events.
- Strong content sensibility to shape compelling narratives and experiences.
- Expert executive and senior stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to measure and articulate business impact of in-person engagement.
- Polished executive presence and excellent communication/influence skills.
Conditions
Work arrangement: Hybrid (home and LinkedIn office on select days based on business needs).
Locations: San Francisco, Sunnyvale, or New York.
Compensation: Pay range $214,000–$345,000 per year (total compensation may include annual bonus, stock, and benefits).
