Summary
Red Bull North America is hiring an Athlete Marketing Manager to bring the global brand to life regionally through strategic athlete partnerships and athlete-driven projects. The role supports athletes’ advancement while creating consumer engagement and brand differentiation via product placement and storytelling.
What you'll do
- Develop and execute a regional athlete marketing strategy in collaboration with regional and national teams.
- Set athlete goals and target outcomes aligned with international and national sports marketing strategy.
- Identify, recruit, and onboard new athlete talent for the roster.
- Create tailored marketing, communication, and performance plans for each managed athlete.
- Educate athletes and key opinion leaders on product efficacy and effective communication.
- Build customized branding solutions and ensure consistent design, visibility, and execution.
- Negotiate athlete agreements and contracts (expectations, goals, retainers, bonuses, rights, availability, scheduling, usage).
- Conceive and deliver athlete projects that align with brand identity and drive meaningful consumer engagement.
- Leverage national and international athlete assets and visiting international athletes to increase regional impact.
- Coordinate external communication and storytelling with Communications, Digital, and Red Bull Media House.
- Partner with Regional Sports Marketing and Sports Event Marketing teams to connect product, brand, and local athletes.
- Work with athletes’ support networks (trainers, coaches, agents, partners) to amplify brand and product messaging.
- Manage athlete project workflows, budgets, operations, schedules, meetings, stakeholder coordination, and content output.
- Lead athlete goal setting, strategic planning, and performance management; monitor objectives biannually.
- Assess each athlete’s career plan and professional environment (training conditions, schedules, equipment, innovations) and incorporate performance solutions.
- Set performance benchmarks, track progress, and address performance issues including potential termination plans when necessary.
- Collaborate in a team environment; support annual business planning with the Sports Marketing Manager and HQ Director of Athlete Marketing.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of experience in sports marketing.
- Extensive knowledge of sports management and the sports industry.
- Outstanding communication skills, including training and delivering presentations.
- Proven planning, organization, and project management capability.
- Strategic and creative mindset.
- Open to new environments, ideas, processes, innovations, and opportunities.
- Entrepreneurial, independent, proactive, results-driven, and consumer-focused.
- Must be a U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident, or currently authorized to work in the United States on a valid visa.
Conditions
- Base salary range: $85,360–$128,040 plus cash incentives (offers vary by experience; range subject to change).
