Summary
Warner Music Group is a global music company representing emerging artists and superstars across multiple labels and publishing. The Assistant, Marketing supports the marketing team in setting up, executing, and delivering artist marketing campaigns and materials. The role combines administrative coordination, asset and release management, reporting, and creative/event support to help drive successful project releases.
What you'll do
- Manage administrative tasks such as scheduling meetings, handling multiple executives’ calendars, booking travel, ordering supplies, processing expense reports, conducting mailings, and coordinating logistics.
- Create and update artist one-sheets, hype sheets, fact sheets, timelines, and other marketing materials for internal teams and external partners.
- Assist with artist marketing plans by joining meetings, building pitch/marketing decks, and coordinating communications across departments.
- Schedule product releases and track production timelines to ensure deadlines are met.
- Pull, analyze, and distribute weekly reports (Soundscan, Mediabase, Tableau, Music Connect) to internal stakeholders and managers.
- Maintain, organize, and distribute artist assets to internal teams and external clients; coordinate with creative to produce graphics and other assets.
- Write promotional copy for assets such as one-sheets, stickers, posters, and print ads.
- Plan and execute artist events (listening sessions, release parties) by coordinating vendors/venues, managing budgets, creating promotional materials, and supporting on-site execution.
- Liaise with third-party marketing and street team partners to produce and distribute promotional tools (posters, stickers, t-shirts).
- Process invoices by setting up vendors, coding invoices in financial systems, and coordinating with vendors to ensure payment.
- Attend meetings, take notes, and prepare/distribute materials before and after meetings.
- Support relationships with lifestyle/strategic brands to aid production and execution of marketing-related events.
- Collate weekly artist budget requests and maintain/update roster contact sheets for teams, management, and vendors.
Requirements
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication with professional representation of the team.
- Excellent project management skills; ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Highly detail-oriented, organized, and able to work with urgency in a high-pressure environment while proactively flagging issues.
- Proactive self-starter with strong online research methods and outstanding writing skills.
- Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop.
- Preferred: Marketing degree or 1+ year relevant experience in music and/or entertainment.
- Preferred: Proficiency with Google Workspace (Docs, Slides, Sheets, Gmail) and experience on Mac platforms.
- Preferred: Professional social media experience and knowledge of trends; industry/cultural connections and external brand relationships.
Conditions
- Hybrid: minimum 4 days per week in the office.
- Compensation: $17.95 to $22.00 per hour.
