Summary
The Atlanta Braves are hiring a seasonal, part-time Social Media Assistant to support BravesVision, the club’s team-controlled television network. This role helps grow BravesVision’s digital presence by creating and publishing content and providing real-time social coverage during the MLB season.
What you'll do
- Assist in executing the social media strategy for BravesVision across X, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, TikTok, and LinkedIn.
- Support planning and day-to-day publishing of content calendars aligned with broadcast schedules and marketing priorities.
- Provide real-time game coverage including highlights, key moments, talent clips, and tune-in messaging.
- Promote live broadcasts, pre- and post-game shows, shoulder programming, and original BravesVision series.
- Create and publish organic social content (short-form video, graphics, and platform-specific copy).
- Collaborate with broadcast production to identify moments for social distribution and help capture digital-first content.
- Coordinate with the Atlanta Braves primary social team to ensure brand alignment while maintaining a distinct BravesVision voice.
- Support community management by monitoring engagement and responding to comments related to programming and broadcasts.
- Track basic performance metrics and support reporting on growth, engagement, and reach.
- Support key seasonal moments such as Spring Training, Opening Day, and potential postseason coverage.
Requirements
- Pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Previous internship or entry-level experience in social media, sports, or digital content preferred.
- Strong interest in sports media, live content, and social storytelling.
- Basic experience creating short-form video and social media content.
- Strong writing skills with the ability to adapt tone for different platforms.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays during the baseball season.
- Preferred: familiarity with platform trends (especially in sports).
- Preferred: basic proficiency with video editing tools (Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro, or similar).
- Preferred: basic knowledge of Adobe Photoshop or similar design tools.
- Preferred: understanding of social analytics and performance tracking.
Conditions
- Seasonal, part-time position aligned with the MLB season.
- Expected to work as many of the 162 Braves games as possible, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
