Chief of Staff, GPO Marketing

The Chief of Staff, GPO Marketing role supports the Marketing Growth, Performance, and Operations (GPO) organization by partnering with the VP and leadership team to drive strategy-to-execution, operational excellence, and a clear organizational narrative. The role’s purpose is to ensure key priorities translate into measurable outcomes while enabling efficient processes, strong communication, and effective stakeholder alignment.

What you'll do

  • Drive the strategic agenda for the GPO organization, translating priorities into measurable outcomes aligned to the VP, GPO vision.
  • Develop and implement practical action plans that deliver significant impact across strategy and execution.
  • Lead critical initiatives spanning strategy, business planning, organizational effectiveness, and operational execution.
  • Drive alignment between GPO business operations and broader organizational goals.
  • Establish, maintain, and continuously improve efficient processes to increase operational precision and effectiveness.
  • Manage highly sensitive, confidential, and non-routine information with discretion and sound judgment.
  • Own and communicate an internal and external narrative that articulates GPO’s impact on LinkedIn’s growth.
  • Keep the team engaged and aligned; ensure support and alignment from cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Communicate results effectively within the GPO team and to broader stakeholders; drive engagement and clarity of mission and impact.
  • Leverage technological curiosity/savviness to understand work at the intersection of marketing and cutting-edge technology and to promote innovative solutions.
  • Plan and manage the GPO budget; monitor variance and recommend resource and headcount allocation/reallocation.
  • Provide financial insights to support decision-making and cost-effective solutions.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in operations, strategy, management, program management, or marketing/communications roles.
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • Proven strategic leadership, operational management, and communication experience in a high-growth, technology-driven environment (preferred).
  • Demonstrated ability to drive strategy-to-execution in complex, matrixed organizations (preferred).
  • Strong analytical skills and a track record of enabling teams through analysis, strategy, and operational rigor.
  • Technologically savvy, with understanding of how technology can drive marketing and business growth.
  • Exceptional communication and storytelling skills, including developing compelling narratives and driving engagement.
  • Open-minded, innovative, and willing to challenge the status quo; able to thrive in a rapidly changing environment with strong attention to detail.
  • Financial proficiency, including budget planning, variance monitoring, and resource allocation recommendations.

Conditions

  • Location: New York (hybrid; work performed from home and from a LinkedIn office on select days based on business needs).

  • Compensation: Pay range stated as $167,000–$273,000 annually; total compensation may include annual performance bonus, stock, and benefits.
