Marketing Events Specialist
Summary
Calabrio (Verint/Calabrio) is hiring a Marketing Events Specialist to join its fast-paced Demand Generation Team. The role owns planning, coordination, and execution of direct events (tradeshows, conferences, summits) while partnering cross-functionally to drive revenue impact and ROI.
What you'll do
- Develop and execute an event marketing strategy aligned with business and campaign goals; maintain an annual calendar of tradeshows and conferences.
- Plan and manage logistics, vendor coordination, and on-site execution for assigned tradeshows, industry events, virtual conferences, and in-person events.
- Act as primary point of contact for internal teams and external vendors; provide updates, timelines, and post-event reporting; support execution availability including potential weekdays and weekends.
- Collect and report quarterly pipeline data; maintain post-event reports and use survey insights to improve future event strategies.
- Partner with campaign and creative teams to produce branded event assets and materials.
- Manage display house and premiums vendor relationships, including invoice reconciliation and inventory tracking.
- Own and optimize event budgets, ensuring cost control and compliance with procurement/financial processes.
- Identify cost-savings opportunities and drive process/quality improvements.
- Support assigned projects for the Verint Americas Sales Kickoff and other major events (e.g., Engage Conference, Verint-hosted Summits).
Requirements
BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience.
3+ years of relevant experience in marketing or planning/managing tradeshow event logistics (including contracting, scheduling, and speaker coordination).
Experience managing complex events with cross-functional internal and external stakeholders.
Ability to interface with and negotiate with outside vendors.
Ability to shift between planning and execution quickly; strong teamwork, communication, and social media skills.
Strong project management skills; detail-oriented with ability to juggle multiple projects and deadlines.
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
Ability to travel to conferences and events.
Preferred: CVENT, Salesforce, and Wrike experience.
Must pass background screening (employment verification, criminal search, OFAC, SS verification, and where applicable credit/drug screening) in accordance with regulations.
Conditions
May require availability during event execution, including weekdays and weekends.
Travel required for conferences and events.
