Summary

Northrop Realty represents buyers and sellers of residential real estate across the Baltimore and Washington metro regions and additional markets. The Social Media Coordinator partners with the Digital Marketing Strategist to help agents build authentic, engaging social presences through content support, platform optimization, and consistent execution. The role supports a cohesive, professional social media presence for the brand while tracking performance and staying current on platform trends.

What you'll do

  • Implement and support social media strategies developed by the Digital Marketing Strategist
  • Guide and train real estate agents on social media best practices, content strategy, and personal branding
  • Help agents plan and develop social media campaigns aligned with business goals and quarterly initiatives
  • Maintain a social media content calendar and support consistent posting habits (reminders/guidance)
  • Format and prepare content for multiple platforms; draft captions for posts
  • Maintain social media asset libraries
  • Support onboarding sessions related to social media
  • Triage and escalate comments/messages when appropriate; escalate advanced strategy questions to the Digital Marketing Strategist
  • Assist with implementation and monitoring of paid social campaigns under direction
  • Provide troubleshooting and technical support across Meta/Instagram/LinkedIn/TikTok/YouTube and related tools
  • Support agents in growing online audiences and establishing/expanding profiles
  • Compile performance reports and analytics/engagement summaries for leadership and marketing initiatives
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to align social media with broader campaigns
  • Capture photo/video content at events and support real-time event coverage
  • Create SOPs and resource guides for common questions and best practices
  • Provide basic video editing support for agent marketing content

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field preferred
  • 2+ years of experience in social media marketing (real estate experience a plus)
  • Strong creativity, organization, attention to detail, and analytical skills
  • Excellent time/project management; ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; strong people skills and interpersonal savvy
  • Strong initiative and problem-solving abilities
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace
  • Experience managing accounts on Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and LinkedIn
  • Experience with Asana, Canva, and Meta Business Suite
  • Video editing experience with CapCut, TikTok, Edits, and Instagram
  • In-depth understanding of major platforms (Meta, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn) and familiarity with tools such as Hootsuite, Sprout Social, Sked Social, and reporting/monitoring services
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive information
  • Ability to lift/carry up to 15 pounds; capable of prolonged desk/computer work
  • Willingness to travel between offices and to events; reliable transportation required

Conditions

  • In-office position
  • Full-time employees eligible for benefits after a 90-day introductory period
