Summary
Praytell is a creative communications agency creating integrated, culture-shaping campaigns across social, earned, digital, experiential and emerging platforms. The Content Creator (Social Media) will create platform-native content and help manage brand communities in real time, partnering with creative, strategy and account teams. This role reports to a Creative Director and can be based in New York, Los Angeles, or Chicago (with flexible/remote options within the US).
What you'll do
- Create high-performing, platform-native social content end-to-end (concepting, capturing, editing, and publishing) using design, mobile shooting, editing, and copywriting skills.
- Translate trends, cultural signals, and platform changes into authentic creative strategies and timely content.
- Apply platform best practices to strengthen content performance, boost engagement, and increase visibility.
- Collaborate with creative, strategy, design, and account partners to develop concepts and deliver work aligned to brand and campaign objectives.
- Experiment with new storytelling formats, visual styles, editing approaches, and creator-led techniques to evolve the craft.
- Integrate AI tools into workflows to support ideation and streamline production.
- Draw inspiration from creators, comment sections, niche communities, and internet subcultures to generate culturally aware ideas.
- Manage fast-paced, high-volume content projects and associated assets while maintaining quality.
- Support community through thoughtful engagement and daily social management.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of experience creating social-first content and managing communities (ideally in a creative or social agency environment).
- Fluency across major social platforms and understanding of what resonates with different audiences.
- Ability to concept, write, produce, and edit short-form social media content.
- Comfort filming and editing short-form social video in-app (e.g., TikTok, Instagram, YouTube Shorts).
- Strong understanding of platform best practices, performance signals, and real-time social behaviors.
- Proven cultural awareness and ability to translate trends into brand-right, native-feeling creative.
- Cross-functional collaboration skills and clear communication of concepts.
- Sound creative judgment for when content should be scrappy vs. polished under fast timelines.
- Experience experimenting with generative AI and using it to accelerate creative work.
