Manager, Key Accounts (Sephora)
Summary
Tarte Cosmetics is hiring a Manager, Key Accounts (Sephora) to drive business development and retail performance with a key retailer partner. The role leads account planning, execution of marketing activations, assortment and merchandising coordination, and ongoing performance analysis to support sell-through and growth.
What you'll do
Collaborate with the Key Account Management team on retailer business development and long-term strategic planning.
Partner with retailer stakeholders to build 360-degree programs supporting new launches and core categories across in-store and online.
Own day-to-day account marketing execution with account partners and trade marketing teams.
Manage retailer assets, promotions, merchandising deliverables, and promotional calendars to meet deadlines.
Advocate retailer needs internally with cross-functional teams (marketing, social, planning, product development, education).
Drive sell-in for new launches; track stock timing and analyze weekly account performance with recommendations to increase sales.
Manage seasonal assortments (core, limited life, digital), including assortment files, trackers, and internal/external updates.
Lead merchandising updates by analyzing sales and partnering on change recommendations; maintain merchandising reference documentation.
Execute and measure digital marketing programs with the retailer, tracking and managing ROI for in-store/online opportunities.
Manage promotional post-analysis by promotion/account, documenting success rate, sell-in/sell-through, and key learnings.
Monitor coop and return/markdown spend budgets.
Coordinate retailer photo comps and imagery delivery timelines.
Partner with planning, marketing, and operations on forecasting and allocation; analyze door-level inventory to resolve out-of-stocks.
Provide WTD/MTD/YTD business analysis and build reports (launch trackers, mix of business, store vs. online performance) and present to senior management.
Conduct competitive research and support seasonal updates, events, promotions, and retailer meetings.
Prepare and manage retailer market and planning meetings with the Executive Director.
Manage and develop 1 direct report, including goal setting, development planning, and ongoing feedback.
Requirements
4–6 years of experience in a sales/marketing role with a cosmetics brand (color cosmetics experience preferred).
BA/BS required or equivalent related work experience.
In-depth knowledge of the beauty industry and open-sell retail environment; Sephora knowledge required.
Proficiency in forecasting, inventory management, sales analysis, budget management, merchandising, digital marketing, and marketing activation.
Strong relationship-building, account management, and negotiation skills.
Strong analytical and project management skills with excellent written and verbal communication.
High attention to detail; ability to multitask and manage high volumes of deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Conditions
Salary range: $80,000–$100,000 per year (monthly equivalent approximately $6,667–$8,333; exact compensation based on skills, experience, and education).
Travel required: 25–30%.
