Video Content Creator (Contract)

Hey Jane is a telehealth company providing safe, discreet, judgment-free reproductive and sexual health care via mobile-first virtual care. The Video Content Creator (Contract) will translate complex health topics into educational, highly shareable short-form videos to expand Hey Jane’s digital presence and grow its social audience.

• Ideate and develop engaging video content about reproductive and sexual health topics (e.g., abortion, birth control, yeast infections, UTIs) to grow social audiences.
• Film and edit original short-form video assets (mobile device and in-app editing for Instagram/TikTok acceptable).
• Partner with the marketing team to ensure content aligns with brand messaging, identity, and aesthetics.
• Incorporate edits and feedback within one week.
• Track and incorporate social trends (news, memes, celebrities, music) in brand-appropriate ways.
• Meet monthly content and posting goals (minimum 5 videos per month).
• Serve as a thoughtful, supportive voice around reproductive care in current cultural moments.

• Ability to create engaging, potentially viral short-form videos for personal channels or brands.
• Proven understanding of what drives performance on Reels, YouTube Shorts, and TikTok (trends, hashtags, music usage, platform features, best practices, and updates).
• Experience following brand and/or messaging guidelines.
• Comfortable on camera with strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Results-driven and open to receiving feedback.
• Ability to work independently while reliably delivering assets on time.
• Passion for abortion access and reproductive care.

• Work permitted from: CA, CO, CT, DC, DE, HI, IL, MA, MD, NJ, NM, NY, OR, VT, WA.
