Summary
A commercial real estate investment and development platform is hiring a Director of Capital Raising to lead direct fundraising with high-net-worth individuals, family offices, and RIAs. The role is remote and focused on building an investor pipeline and converting relationships into capital commitments to support the firm’s real estate offerings.
What you'll do
- Drive direct fundraising efforts and capital inflows for the company’s real estate offerings
- Identify, prospect, and build relationships with new investors (HNWI, family offices, RIAs)
- Develop and manage an investor pipeline across target geographies
- Conduct investor meetings, presentations, and follow-ups to close capital commitments
- Maintain consistent communication with prospects and existing investors
- Collaborate with internal teams to deliver investor materials and updates
- Record investor interactions and pipeline updates in the firm’s CRM
- Attend and represent the company at industry conferences and capital-raising events
- Host and participate in investor events across markets as needed
- Stay current on real estate and capital markets trends relevant to investor discussions
Requirements
- 5–10 years of experience in sales, fundraising, or investor relations
- Proven ability to raise at least $10M annually in new investor capital
- Strong understanding of private placements, investment sales, and/or real estate fundraising (preferred)
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
- Highly autonomous, self-directed, and effective in a remote environment
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Based in a major U.S. metro (preferably Western region)
- Willingness and ability to travel for conferences, events, and investor meetings
Conditions
- Remote role
- Travel required for conferences, events, and investor meetings
- Compensation: $120,000–$160,000 base plus commission/bonus
- Minimum annual fundraising expectation: $10M in new investments
