Summary
Pandora, the world’s largest jewellery brand, is hiring a Media Relations Specialist to support the North America Marketing team. The role focuses on consumer and corporate media relations, public affairs, and external communications to strengthen brand awareness, desirability, and reputation across North America.
What you'll do
- Support the development and execution of Pandora’s North American public relations strategy to drive brand awareness and desirability.
- Draft press materials such as press releases, media alerts, messaging documents, and pitches.
- Support earned media outreach and cultivate relationships with consumer and corporate media and key industry contacts.
- Identify and coordinate corporate media opportunities with local and global teams, including briefing materials and key messaging.
- Support speaking and visibility opportunities for NAM and Global leadership, including logistics and materials.
- Manage incoming editorial requests and support proactive pitching to media outlets.
- Coordinate product sample sends and track editorial placements and requests.
- Collaborate with internal partners (marketing, events, VIP) on activations with media presence or press coverage.
- Support press opportunities tied to local and global talent and brand initiatives.
- Track and report media coverage; create weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly recaps for PR-led initiatives.
- Coordinate with agencies in the U.S. and Canada for campaign, seasonal, and brand-building efforts.
- Partner with paid media to support amplification and maximize earned visibility.
- Support development and execution of local philanthropic and community initiatives.
- Assist in identifying equity-building opportunities, with emphasis on sustainability and other brand priorities.
- Support crisis communications and risk mitigation with the Global Corporate team.
Requirements
- 5–8+ years of experience in public relations, media relations, public affairs, communications, or related fields, with a strong understanding of brand reputation management.
- Experience supporting PR campaigns and media outreach for retail, fashion, or fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG).
- Proven ability to pitch media, secure coverage, draft press materials, and support earned storytelling.
- Experience working in a global or matrixed organization and collaborating cross-functionally across regions.
- Strong understanding of the North American media landscape and public affairs environment, with ability to tailor global messaging to regional needs.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including drafting narratives and preparing briefing materials for senior leaders.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Conditions
- Compensation (New York): $93,000–$100,000 annually (commensurate with experience), plus bonus.
