eStoreLabs is a data-driven eCommerce company providing strategic advisory and performance-based growth strategies for global enterprises. The Digital Merchandiser will optimize product catalogs and content across major US marketplaces (especially Amazon and Walmart) to improve visibility and conversion. The role combines content operations, analytics, and client collaboration to drive measurable marketplace performance.
What you'll do
- Manage and optimize online product catalogs to increase visibility and conversions across major US marketplaces (Amazon, Walmart, Target, and others).
- Oversee content production including copywriting coordination, proofreading, and validating that text and graphics meet each eRetailer’s requirements and SEO recommendations.
- Analyze performance data; conduct research, audits, and competitive analysis; develop eCommerce strategies and data-driven optimization recommendations.
- Assess client brand positioning, category dynamics, and competitive landscape across Amazon and other US FMCG eRetailers.
- Upload and correct content; rename and manage assets (upload/download/segregation) and ensure proper content organization.
- Translate client inputs and brand guidelines into actionable content and optimization plans.
- Manage files, perform database adjustments and data migration, and maintain PIM systems.
- Stay up to date with eCommerce trends and continuously research eRetailer functionalities, widgets, and features.
- Edit and/or create Product Detail Pages and Brand Stores.
- Serve as day-to-day contact with clients and eRetailers as needed.
- Monitor seasonal content and deals (when applicable).
Requirements
- Proven eCommerce experience with US-based eRetailers; required experience on Amazon.com; Walmart/Target and Instacart preferred, ideally within FMCG.
- Experience with PIM/DAM systems including asset organization, maintenance, and syndication; practical knowledge of Salsify and/or Syndigo.
- Strong analytical skills, project management capability, excellent communication, and strong attention to detail.
- Ability to run client projects independently.
- US English native speaker or advanced English level (minimum C1).
- Demonstrated success optimizing product listings and improving visibility.
- Understanding of digital marketing concepts and best practices.
- Experience optimizing both visual and written marketplace content.
- Knowledge of SEO practices for eRetailers/marketplaces.
- Positive attitude, problem-solving mindset, and confidence presenting ideas.
- Photoshop and Canva for basic design adjustments (preferred).
Nice to have:
- Strong expertise with PM tools for managing multiple clients/projects (e.g., Asana).
- Knowledge of retailer requirements beyond Amazon (e.g., Walmart, Kroger, Target, Instacart).
- Familiarity with tools such as CommerceIQ and other AI-based testing tools.
- Experience running content A/B tests or working with UX performance feedback.
Conditions
- Contract type: B2B contract or contract of service via Deel for international cooperation.
- Schedule: Full-time preferred; open to freelance arrangements.
