Social Creator, Educational Content

Summary

SoFi, a next-generation financial services company and national bank, is seeking a Social Creator for their Educational Content team. This role involves creating engaging, social-first educational content across multiple platforms to build trust, expand reach, and deepen audience engagement with financial literacy resources.

What you'll do

Concept and produce social content including video, graphics, carousels, and copy inspired by SoFi's educational materials; translate complex financial topics into clear, engaging platform-native storytelling; collaborate with editors, designers, and strategists while maintaining creative ownership; research financial topics and build working expertise; apply objectivity and audience empathy when framing content; partner with Social and Community teams on strategy; adapt content for platform-specific best practices across Instagram, TikTok, X, LinkedIn, YouTube, and Reddit; monitor social channels for feedback, questions, and trends; iterate based on performance data.

Requirements

3+ years of experience owning social content creation end-to-end for a brand, media company, or content-driven organization; strong portfolio with short-form video, on-screen text/graphics, and copywriting; journalistic instinct with curiosity, rigor, and objectivity; comfort being on camera as recognizable voice; deep familiarity with Instagram, TikTok, X, LinkedIn, and performance metrics; data-informed mindset; strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects; nice-to-have: experience with educational/financial/fintech content, organic and paid social strategies, newsletter growth, regulated industries, or social publishing tools.
