Summary
Unilever is hiring a Social & Community Management Lead for Vaseline to serve as the live voice and ears of the brand across social communities. The role manages owned social channels, partners with a social agency, and drives engagement by executing community strategy and sharing insights that inform broader marketing efforts.
What you'll do
- Oversee daily management of owned social channels, including monitoring, posting, moderation, and timely responses to comments and messages.
- Manage the brand’s social agency by providing direction and ensuring alignment with brand objectives and tone of voice.
- Lead monthly content calendar development and content generation with the agency, supporting product launches, events, and activations.
- Develop and execute a community engagement strategy aligned to the brand playbook and marketing objectives.
- Participate in relevant online community conversations to foster positive brand presence and engagement.
- Perform social listening across brand, community, and competitor content to understand audience sentiment.
- Champion user-generated content by identifying strong community contributions and building creator relationships through proactive outreach (e.g., mailers).
- Proactively identify potential influencer partners via earned tags.
- Conduct qualitative analysis to identify trends, sentiment, and opportunities for messaging, innovation, and content.
- Share community insights with Content and PR/Influencer leads and cross-functional partners as needed.
- Support reputation management by addressing inquiries and concerns with empathy and escalating issues when necessary.
- Collaborate with PR, influencer, experiential, creative, media, and agency partners on influencer selection, briefing, content review, and event execution.
Requirements
- 3–5+ years of social media experience, ideally in beauty, personal care, wellness, or a related consumer category.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred in marketing, communications, or a related field.
- Proven track record of growing social channels.
- Strong awareness of social and cultural trends with daily platform fluency.
- Skills in content creation, editorial calendar management, community management, influencer partnerships, and social-first creative production.
- Strong understanding of platform best practices, especially TikTok and Reels, and emerging content formats.
- Experience identifying and managing influencers and creators.
- Ability to interpret performance data, track KPIs, and optimize content using insights.
- Comfortable working cross-functionally with brand, PR, creative, media, and agency partners.
- Proactive, culturally fluent, agile, and able to respond quickly to trends with brand-aligned ideas.
Conditions
Pay: $88,600 to $133,000 per year (bonus and long-term incentive eligible).
