Associate Strategic Finance – LinkedIn Marketing Solutions
Summary
LinkedIn is seeking an Associate Strategic Finance professional to support LinkedIn Marketing Solutions by partnering with cross-functional R&D teams. The role focuses on improving understanding of the advertising ecosystem, shaping product strategy/roadmaps, and driving performance management through modeling, forecasting, and insights.
What you'll do
- Contribute to strategy development and pressure-test growth opportunities within a defined scope.
- Partner with product, engineering, and data science to understand business drivers and evaluate strategic initiatives, including financial guidance for new product launches.
- Operationalize ideas into execution plans with support from senior team members.
- Communicate forecasts, analyses, trends, and variance insights to management and cross-functional stakeholders with business context.
- Use data-driven narratives to influence stakeholders; synthesize problems and provide points of view to support decision-making.
- Support initiative growth with a metrics-oriented perspective; answer stakeholder questions for operational and strategic workstreams.
- Develop standard workstreams and operational processes; identify obstacles and recommend improvements.
- Create, maintain, and update financial models and forecasts for assigned areas and product initiatives (e.g., ad products such as LinkedIn Audience Network).
- Establish/refine KPIs and tracking frameworks; access, transform, and synthesize cross-platform data to assess trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Analyze business trends and variances to deliver actionable insights; develop and test hypotheses via ad hoc analyses.
- Begin partnering with cross-functional teams to design experiments to close deviations from targets.
- Support culture and values initiatives; seek and provide feedback; pursue growth and skill development opportunities.
Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Business Analytics, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Experience: Minimum 1 year in finance, finance/accounting, management consulting, investment banking, or related field.
Capabilities: Ability to work autonomously to identify/prioritize opportunities, partner and influence stakeholders, and deliver results in ambiguous situations.
Preferred: Experience with SQL and/or large datasets.
Preferred: Experience in digital advertising or the technology industry.
Preferred: Ability to manage multiple priorities and perform in a fast-paced environment.
Suggested skills: Financial modeling, data analysis, forecasting, problem solving, project management and collaboration.
Conditions
Work model: Hybrid (performed from home and from a LinkedIn office on select days as determined by business needs).
Locations: San Francisco, CA or Mountain View, CA (role can be based in either).
Compensation: Pay range stated as $80,000–$128,000 annually; total compensation may include annual performance bonus, stock, and benefits.
