The Customer Operations Analyst supports the order-to-cash cycle by managing daily order flows, ensuring fulfillment excellence, and helping the supply chain scale through process improvements.
What you'll do
- Oversee end-to-end order processing for food service and retail customers, including confirmations, revisions, and SAP data entry.
- Support key retail accounts with load planning and order optimization to drive order quality and on-time performance.
- Coordinate fulfillment by working with retail brokers and using issue-resolution systems (e.g., Fix-it tickets) to resolve problems.
- Track and support EDI implementations by monitoring open items and helping resolve transmission gaps.
- Monitor 3PL performance for fulfillment accuracy and act as a point of contact for routine logistics disruptions.
- Apply supply chain policies (order minimums, lead-time requirements) to reduce customer fines and chargebacks.
- Partner cross-functionally with Supply Planning to monitor fill rates and with QA to process damage and shelf-life claims.
- Assist with international fulfillment, including shipping documentation preparation and tracking import exceptions.
- Coordinate with 3PLs for new product introductions (NPI) and onboarding of new customer accounts.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Operations, Business, Supply Chain, or a related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in customer logistics, order management, or supply chain operations (internship experience considered).
- Proficiency with ERP systems (SAP preferred) and strong spreadsheet skills (Excel/Google Sheets).
- Foundational understanding of the order-to-cash cycle and logistics terminology.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for working with external buyers and internal stakeholders.
- Proactive problem-solver comfortable in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
- Ability to work independently within a virtual team.
Conditions
Work arrangement: If remote work is indicated, the role can be performed from any US state except Alaska, Hawaii, New Mexico, Oklahoma, and Wisconsin.
Schedule: Occasional support may be needed for holiday/weekend inventory emergencies.
