Data Analyst I

SelectQuote is an insurance marketplace founded 35+ years ago that helps consumers find and compare insurance products. The Data Analyst I role supports process and analytics-based decisions through data management and reporting for the sales and support teams.

What you'll do

Develop and maintain performance/metrics reporting for sales and support teams; prepare quantitative analysis using Excel, SQL, and QuickSight to provide business insights; conduct forward-looking and historical analysis for strategic initiatives; produce presentations on projects and analysis; provide ad hoc analytical support; create KPI reporting and monitor results; define success benchmarks; collaborate with department leaders on strategy and business cases; develop working knowledge of business processes and data flows.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Business Analytics or related field; 0-2 years experience in analyst role (finance, operations, business or equivalent) preferred; strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel and PowerPoint); excellent oral and written communication skills; analytical and detail-oriented mindset; high level of curiosity and problem-solving aptitude; experience with PowerBI, Tableau, Python, R, or SQL highly preferred.

Conditions

Indoor work environment with potential exposure to office-related safety hazards; periodic travel to other office and operational sites; moderate noise level; prolonged periods of sitting at desk and working on computer; no supervisory responsibilities.
