Summary
Apple’s Strategic Data Solutions (SDS) team is hiring a Data Analyst to help mitigate fraud, waste, and abuse across Apple’s lines of business. The role partners closely with cross-functional stakeholders to understand processes and analytic needs, then develop data-driven insights and technical solutions that deliver measurable impact.
What you'll do
- Support discovery and definition of business problems to be solved with analytics.
- Develop relationships with business partners and serve as the technical/analytic point of contact.
- Perform data discovery and create proof-of-concept analyses.
- Conduct ad-hoc and recurring statistical analyses.
- Collaborate with data warehouse architects and software developers to generate and enhance business intelligence solutions.
- Present analytical results to business units and senior leadership to support decision-making.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a quantitative/technical field (e.g., math, statistics, engineering, information management, computer science, or similar).
- 3+ years of extensive, expert-level SQL experience.
- Experience with visualization techniques and tools (e.g., matplotlib, Tableau).
- Experience applying analytical techniques to deliver innovative solutions to business problems.
- Ability to communicate meaningful stories with data.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Curiosity and a desire for continuous self-improvement and learning.
Preferred:
- Experience with big data systems (Hive, Spark, Snowflake).
- Programming skills in Python, Java, C++, or similar.
- Background in supply chain, operations, manufacturing, engineering, quantitative, or finance domains.
- 5+ years in an analytics role providing business intelligence to stakeholders.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build partnerships.
- Ability to navigate ambiguous requirements and work independently/proactively with stakeholders.
Conditions
Compensation: Base pay range $118,500–$197,500 annually (varies by skills, qualifications, experience, and location).
Equity: Eligibility for discretionary employee stock programs, restricted stock unit awards, and employee stock purchase plan (discounted stock purchase, voluntary participation).
