Data Entry Assistant

The Data Entry Assistant role supports accurate, consistent, and accessible company data by managing entries across internal systems, databases, and spreadsheets in a full-time remote position for U.S.-based candidates.
What you'll do
- Enter and update data in internal systems, databases, and spreadsheets with accuracy and completeness
- Verify data accuracy by cross-checking records and correcting discrepancies
- Organize, categorize, and maintain electronic and paper records in compliance with company policies
- Generate routine and ad-hoc reports by compiling and presenting data
- Clean and update datasets to maintain integrity and remove outdated or inaccurate records
- Support data integration across platforms to ensure consistent data flow
- Monitor and help maintain database health in collaboration with the Data Manager
- Coordinate with engineering, finance, and project management teams to align data with business needs
- Organize digital files for easy retrieval and regulatory compliance
- Maintain confidentiality and security of sensitive data per company policies and legal standards
- Perform routine data quality checks and audits
- Provide administrative support including preparing documents, reports, and communications
Requirements
Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or higher in a related field preferred
Experience: Proven experience in data entry, administrative support, or similar roles; engineering or technical environment preferred
Skills: Strong attention to detail; ability to spot errors and inconsistencies in large datasets
Skills: Strong organization and time management; ability to prioritize tasks effectively
Tools: Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and data entry software
Tools: Familiarity with data management/database tools (e.g., Microsoft Access, Google Sheets)
Plus: Experience with CRM systems and/or project management tools
Professional: Ability to handle sensitive information securely and maintain confidentiality
Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills
Work style: Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Domain: Knowledge of engineering terminology and data processes is advantageous but not required
