Summary

The Medical Records Retrieval Representative (Risk Adjustment Representative 3) retrieves medical records from provider offices using multiple retrieval methods for reviews and audits. The role supports timely, accurate collection and secure handling of records for business and compliance needs.
What you'll do
Travel to provider/physician offices to retrieve medical records (including occasional overnight travel).
Use a laptop and portable scanner to capture and upload records into a database.
Schedule appointments and office visits efficiently to meet deadlines.
Independently troubleshoot technology and equipment while working in the field.
Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent.
1+ years of administrative/office/support experience in a healthcare environment.
Experience working with EMR/EHR in a clerical or clinical setting.
Reliable transportation.
Valid state driver’s license and ability to maintain required personal vehicle liability insurance (per state minimums or $25,000/$25,000/$10,000, whichever is higher).
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
Demonstrated organizational skills.
Working knowledge of computers/technical aptitude and ability to learn new systems quickly.
Preferred: Associate’s degree or higher; strong written and verbal communication; analytical and time-management skills; relationship-building ability.
Conditions
Full-time schedule: 40 hours per week.
Remote role with travel up to 25%, including driving near home and overnight travel for up to a week at a time; occasional travel to Humana offices for training/meetings may be required.
Work-from-home internet requirement: recommended minimum 25 Mbps download / 10 Mbps upload; satellite/cellular/microwave only with leadership approval.
Bi-weekly internet expense payment provided for employees who live and work from home in CA, IL, MT, or SD.
Humana provides telephone equipment appropriate to business needs.
Must work from a dedicated space without ongoing interruptions to protect PHI/HIPAA information.
