Summary
Honeydew is a tech-forward dermatology platform helping people access licensed specialists, FDA-approved treatments, and ongoing support quickly. As a Care Coordinator, you will support patients primarily through in-app written communication and coordinate with pharmacies, labs, and providers to keep care on track. The role exists to improve access to effective skin care and make patients feel heard throughout their treatment journey.
What you'll do
- Craft clear, warm, professional messages to patients via in-app chat (majority of interactions).
- Provide thoughtful, detailed written responses that anticipate patient questions and reduce confusion.
- Coordinate with pharmacies and labs by phone to troubleshoot prescription issues, insurance problems, and delivery concerns.
- Communicate with dermatology providers as needed to ensure care plans remain on track.
- Maintain meticulous documentation and records related to patient care.
- Bridge communication between patients, providers, and insurance companies across channels.
- Partner with medical teams to communicate practical care plans that fit patients’ real lives.
- Monitor patient progress through ongoing messaging, troubleshoot obstacles, and support patients through milestones.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Exceptional writing and speaking skills; clear, warm, and professional communication.
- Typing speed of at least 40 WPM.
- Comfortable using Gmail and Chrome (or similar tools).
- Reliable internet connection and a private workspace to support HIPAA-compliant work.
- Customer service mindset with strong empathy and professionalism appropriate for healthcare.
- Ability to work independently and manage work without close supervision.
- Coachable, collaborative, and able to incorporate feedback effectively.
- At least two of the following: customer service experience; healthcare/clinical support background; remote work experience.
- Nice to have: familiarity with Slack and Zoom.
- Authorized to work in the US; no visa sponsorship available.
Conditions
- Fully remote role; candidates must reside in eligible US states (AL, AZ, DC, FL, GA, ID, MD, MI, MO, NJ, NY, NC, OH, PA, TX, UT, VA, WA, WI).
- Service hours are 9am–10pm Eastern daily; Care Coordinators can choose their workday structure.
- Required response times: within 4 hours on weekdays and within 6 hours on weekends.
- During onboarding/training, expected availability 7 days a week to ramp to full-time (35+ hours/week).
- Pay: $15/hour (or applicable state/local minimum wage if higher).
- $100 monthly tech stipend.
