Executive Assistant - Family
Summary
Sundays is a remote executive assistant service for working parents, supporting founders, creators, and entrepreneurs by helping them manage both work and family life. The Executive Assistant (Family) role partners with multiple families to proactively coordinate schedules, logistics, and projects so clients can maximize their time at home and at work.
What you'll do
Proactively anticipate client and family needs, solve problems early, and manage calendars, projects, and household logistics.
Build and maintain professional relationships with clients, their families, and relevant support networks.
Coordinate family calendars, schedule appointments and activities, set reminders, and resolve conflicts.
Plan and execute family events, birthdays, holidays, and celebrations.
Support school and child-related needs by researching options (schools, classes, camps), managing applications/enrollments, and handling communications.
Research and book family travel (accommodations, transportation, activities) to ensure seamless trips.
Manage healthcare logistics by scheduling medical/dental/specialist appointments, tracking follow-ups and insurance claims, and organizing health records.
Coordinate household logistics, including home maintenance and other service appointments, tracking tasks and ensuring follow-through.
Conduct research on purchases, services, vendors, and family projects (e.g., childcare sourcing, vendor selection, trip planning).
Serve as a trusted point of contact for service providers, schools, and family-related partners.
Support multiple families simultaneously (up to 15), switching context quickly and keeping many projects moving forward.
Requirements
Minimum 3 years of experience in an administrative setting.
Availability to work in a U.S. timezone.
At least 1 year of assistant experience preferred.
Prior experience supporting families.
Preferred background: house manager, personal assistant, teacher, or executive assistant.
Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Proactive mindset, resilience, perseverance, and problem-solving ability.
Empathy and ability to understand others’ needs.
Ability and desire to learn, including learning new technologies.
Bring-your-own-device requirement: provide own mobile phone and computer (laptop/desktop); Chromebook or tablet not allowed.
Preferred tool experience: Slack, Google Drive, Microsoft Excel.
Conditions
Remote, flexible, permanently remote team.
Commitment of at least 25 hours per week.
Work must occur between 9:00 am and 5:00 pm in U.S. time zones.
Must work each weekday and be able to work a block of time in both morning and afternoon business hours each day.
Compensation: $24–$27 per hour (based on experience, skill level, and geographic location).
