Mind Friend is a fast-growing telehealth platform providing accessible psychological support to clients remotely. The Telehealth Psychologist Assistant supports licensed psychologists by coordinating clinical operations and ensuring a smooth virtual patient experience.
What you'll do
- Guide new clients through intake and onboarding, ensuring paperwork, consent forms, and assessments are completed before the first session
- Coordinate calendars and schedule appointments; manage cancellations and rescheduling for multiple psychologists
- Provide virtual room support by helping clients troubleshoot video, audio, and connectivity issues before or during sessions
- Assist with clinical administration, including preparing session materials, organizing EHRs, and proofreading non-clinical documentation
- Respond to patient inquiries via email and secure messaging with warmth, professionalism, and promptness
- Maintain confidentiality and ensure compliance with HIPAA and other patient privacy regulations
Requirements
Experience: Minimum 3 years as a psychology assistant, psychiatric technician, medical assistant in mental health, or similar clinical support role
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or closely related field
Technical: Proficiency with telehealth software, EHR systems, and secure communication platforms
Soft skills: High emotional intelligence, active listening, calm and supportive demeanor with individuals in distress
Compliance: Strong understanding of HIPAA guidelines and patient data security best practices
