Summary
D.R. Horton, a Fortune 500 and the largest homebuilder in the U.S., is hiring an HOA Coordinator to support the establishment, maintenance, transition, and management of Homeowner Associations. The role assists the HOA Manager and Supervisor by coordinating documentation, meetings, transitions, communications, and ongoing HOA administrative needs.
What you'll do
- Facilitate HOA documentation by coordinating with internal departments, reviewing drafts for accuracy, and executing final documents (signatures, notarizing, delivery)
- Support HOA set-ups by preparing and filing documents with government entities
- Review and prepare homeowner architectural applications and Declarant/Developer ARC Committee responses for HOA Manager
- Support oversight of HOA management and maintenance by serving on HOA boards and scheduling/attending HOA meetings
- Coordinate HOA transitions by scheduling transition walks, preparing and obtaining signatures for deeds for common areas, and turning over plans/documents to the HOA
- Provide administrative support including correspondence with management companies and homeowners; track issues to completion (budget overages, homeowner requirements/complaints, management company needs)
- Assist with engagement and tracking of HOA building insurance for HOAs with attached units
- Assist with updates to Public Offering Statements
- Prepare HOA sales welcome letters and community information sheets
- Assist with reviewing HOA financials and resolving issues with HOA management companies
- Organize, communicate, and schedule HOA activities for the division and/or HOA Manager
- Conduct business professionally and ethically to support customers and company goodwill/profit
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- 2–4 years of related homeowner association experience and/or training
- Valid driver’s license and personal vehicle
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple responsibilities with attention to detail
- Ability to communicate with customers and all levels of management/personnel
- Ability to work independently and within a team
- Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel) and email
- Proficiency with Adobe Acrobat
- Preferred: Community Association Manager (CAM) license or applicable state license
- Preferred: Knowledge of homebuilding
- Preferred: Basic budget knowledge
- Preferred: Certified Notary Public
Conditions
- Ability to work overtime
- Evening HOA meetings (approximately 10 per month)
- Travel to HOA meetings and communities for inspections
- Overnight travel required at times
