The Data Scientist I on the Integrity team leverages data, experimentation, and automation to measure and improve safety- and integrity-related product experiences. The role supports decision-making by creating metrics, frameworks, dashboards, and actionable insights for cross-functional partners.
What you'll do
- Partner with Product, Engineering, and Policy to support Integrity initiatives through data analysis, experimentation, and measurement.
- Analyze user behavior related to Integrity and safety initiatives to inform product decisions and improve user experience.
- Proactively monitor product performance and provide actionable insights and recommendations.
- Design and analyze experiments or quasi-experiments to test hypotheses and evaluate Integrity-related feature impact.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and monitoring tools to track key safety and risk metrics.
- Communicate clear, data-driven findings and recommendations to cross-functional stakeholders via presentations, reports, and dashboards.
- Support the evolution of metrics and measurement frameworks for Integrity products under senior guidance.
- Contribute to improvements in data quality, pipelines, and analytical infrastructure for trust and safety use cases.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in a quantitative field; Master’s degree or PhD (social science background) preferred.
- 1–2 years of professional experience in data science and/or analytics preferred.
- Comfort with descriptive and inferential statistics.
- Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python or R and applied statistical methods; A/B testing experience is a plus.
- Exposure to causal inference concepts or methods is a plus.
- SQL and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau or Mode) are a plus, not required.
- Ability to form nuanced business understanding, create testable hypotheses, and derive significant findings from data.
- Curiosity about how systems work from both business and technical perspectives; collaborative growth mindset.
