Summary

Morgan Stanley is a global financial services firm providing capital raising, management, and allocation services for clients worldwide. The Wealth Management Analyst supports Financial Advisors/Private Wealth Advisors and their teams by delivering client service and assisting with digital marketing, portfolio and proposal tools, financial planning, and reporting/analysis.

What you'll do

  • Provide day-to-day coverage for an FA/PWA/team and support delivery of the client service model (prepare for meetings and track follow-ups).
  • Provide backup coverage for Client Service Associate responsibilities as requested (money movement transactions, answering non-investment account questions, enrolling clients in digital tools such as MS Online, and entering orders in a clerical capacity).
  • Stay current on firm policies, procedures, and new platforms.
  • Support business development by organizing and executing against the team business plan and partnering with stakeholders (e.g., Practice Strategy Consultants, Branch Management).
  • Execute administrative elements of digital and in-person marketing strategies (conferences, seminars/webinars, websites, social media, and email connectivity).
  • Prepare and review client reports and/or financial plans using firm-approved systems for existing and prospective clients.
  • Assist with research using firm-approved systems.
  • Participate in client and prospective client meetings as needed, representing the service lens.
  • Participate in firm initiatives (training/education), special projects, and other duties as directed by local management.

Requirements

  • Experience/Education

    • 2+ years of relevant work experience.
    • Four-year college degree or professional certification preferred.
  • Licenses

    • Active Series 7 required.
    • Series 66 required, or Series 63 and Series 65 required.
    • Additional product licenses may be required.
  • Knowledge/Skills

    • Knowledge of financial services products (equities, bonds, options, mutual funds, annuities, insurance, managed accounts).
    • Technically proficient; quick learner of new/updated platforms.
    • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and prioritization skills.
    • Expert proficiency with MS Office, especially Excel, and internet applications.
    • Exceptional writing, interpersonal, and client service skills.
    • Strong time management; able to collaborate as a team player.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced, evolving environment; adaptable and able to multitask.
    • Goal-oriented, self-motivated, and results-driven.

Conditions

  • Compensation: expected base pay range is $68,000 to $120,000 per year (plus potential commissions, incentives/bonuses, and other short- and long-term incentive packages).
  • Benefits: Morgan Stanley-sponsored benefit programs and comprehensive employee benefits/perks.
  • Reporting line: Business Service Officer.
