Summary
Ajinomoto Foods North America, Inc. is hiring a Data Analyst to partner with Finance, HR, Sales, and Marketing teams to deliver actionable insights that improve financial performance and commercial effectiveness. This blended Data Analyst/Business Analyst role works with complex enterprise datasets to help leaders move from descriptive reporting to insight-driven decisions.
What you'll do
- Gather, clean, validate, reconcile, and document data from ERP (JDE), financial systems, and sales/marketing sources.
- Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and consistency across reporting and analytics solutions.
- Partner with IT and data engineering to improve data pipelines, definitions, and data availability.
- Analyze datasets to identify trends, patterns, correlations, and business insights.
- Perform ad hoc and recurring analyses for budgeting, forecasting, margin analysis, pricing, promotions, and customer performance.
- Apply statistical techniques and analytical methods; support predictive models and scenario-based analyses as capabilities mature.
- Design, create, maintain, and automate dashboards/reports using Power BI, Tableau, or Excel; translate analyses into executive-ready visuals.
- Collaborate with business units to gather requirements and translate needs into analytical solutions and recommendations.
- Support data governance, security, and privacy standards; help define consistent metrics, KPIs, and reporting definitions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a STEM-related field (e.g., Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics) or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 2 years of experience supporting data and analytics in a complex enterprise environment.
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, Power Query, complex formulas).
- Working knowledge of SQL for querying and validating data.
- Experience creating dashboards and reports using Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools.
- Excellent communication (technical and non-technical) and teamwork skills.
- Interest in applying analytics across business areas (accounting, finance, HR, sales, marketing).
- Eager to learn, take initiative, and contribute to a diverse team.
Conditions
- Compensation range: $80,000–$100,000 per year, plus annual bonus.
