What you'll do
- Design, configure, test, and support informatics and data science solutions for technical challenges.
- Apply analytical methods to diagnose data-related issues, develop solutions, and evaluate effectiveness.
- Document and present requirements, design alternatives, and findings to team members and clients.
- Develop strategic data modeling processes to accurately identify cause-and-effect relationships.
- Support development and maintenance of shared libraries and tools used across teams.
- Contribute to strategy and execution for rapid prototyping.
- Prepare and clean raw data to ensure suitability and quality for analysis.
- Collaborate with senior data scientists to refine models and improve predictive accuracy.
- Participate in brainstorming sessions to identify data-driven solutions to business challenges.
- Conduct exploratory data analysis to uncover trends, patterns, and insights to enhance models and strategies.
Requirements
- 1–3 years of experience in a machine learning engineering or data science role focused on building machine learning models.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, and/or Scala.
- Experience with IDEs, data integration tools, data visualization tools, and analysis tools.
- Hands-on experience managing large datasets, uncovering patterns via analysis, using data visualization tools, writing SQL, and utilizing GPUs for model development.
- Experience preparing and cleaning raw data and ensuring high data quality.
- Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) for data storage and processing.
- Ability to explain complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences and deliver data-driven presentations.
- Experience with version control systems such as Git and collaborative development workflows.
- Bachelor’s degree.
