Macy’s, a major NYC-based digital retailer, is hiring a Business Intelligence & Digital Analyst to help drive its data-driven culture within the Digital Analytics team.
The role focuses on hands-on development of data pipelines and dashboards to provide reliable, real-time visibility into digital performance and enable analytics-led decision making.
What you'll do
- Design, build, and maintain scalable, user-friendly dashboards (Tableau/Power BI) for real-time digital performance visibility.
- Write and optimize SQL queries to extract, transform, and validate data from multiple databases and environments.
- Research and document data flows and dependencies across internal systems and third-party tools (e.g., Adobe Analytics) to ensure reporting consistency.
- Translate business questions into technical logic and production-ready metrics and reports.
- Monitor data integrity across reporting suites; troubleshoot and resolve discrepancies in pipelines and visualization layers.
- Support and train business users on tools and dashboards to enable self-service analytics.
- Collaborate with analytics, engineering, product, and business stakeholders to deliver actionable data solutions.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience analyzing data and building comprehensive dashboards in an enterprise setting.
- Strong SQL skills and experience with large-scale data warehouses for querying, transforming, and validating data across multiple sources.
- Proficiency with dashboarding and visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Adobe Analytics, and Excel.
- Ability to trace dashboard metrics back to source systems and understand underlying logic.
- High attention to detail with a strong focus on data accuracy and validation across platforms.
- Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills; ability to translate complex data concepts into actionable insights.
- Experience with Python is preferred/mentioned; interest in emerging technologies (e.g., AI agents, advanced analytics platforms).
Conditions
Full-time schedule.
Location: New York (NY, United States).
Compensation: $78,720–$131,160 annually; may be eligible for performance-based incentives/bonuses.
