Summary
FIFTH SEASON is a global independent studio developing, financing, producing, and distributing premium film and television content. The Assistant, TV Creative supports executives by managing operations, communications, and creative-submissions workflows to keep fast-moving international TV development activities organized and on track.
What you'll do
- Maintain and manage executive calendars, anticipating needs for meetings, videoconferences, and calls across multiple time zones.
- Prepare meeting agendas; organize and distribute materials for internal and external appointments.
- Record and organize meeting notes and distribute follow-up materials as needed.
- Proactively update grids, presentations, and shared folders.
- Arrange travel accommodations and process executive expenses in alignment with company policies.
- Screen calls and handle inquiries with tact, escalating or referring as appropriate.
- Draft, review, and compose correspondence (e.g., memos, reports, submission letters).
- Follow up on tasks and projects to ensure timely completion.
- Manage submissions to executives (books, scripts, pitches) by reviewing and/or distributing as directed.
- Prepare talent lists and organize weekly book scout reports.
- Conduct market research and track industry trends, including ratings, audience data, competitive programming, and emerging content trends.
Requirements
- Strong communication skills with ability to engage effectively across all levels and with external partners.
- Adaptive, resourceful, mature, with excellent professional judgment.
- Commitment to confidentiality and diplomacy.
- Strong problem-solving abilities.
- Experience assessing creative and commercial viability of scripts and books.
- Expertise with MS Office, G Suite (Google Workspace), Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and Adobe.
Preferred:
- Experience with industry-specific platforms (e.g., FinalDraft, Pix, Scenechronize, IMDbPro, Studio System).
- Knowledge of directing talent, agents, and production companies.
