Senior BI and Automation Engineer (Power BI, DAX, Power Automate, Azure Data)

Scavenger Tech is seeking a Senior BI and Automation Engineer to build enterprise dashboards, reporting systems, and automation workflows. The role focuses on KPI standardization, reporting accuracy, data governance compliance, and improving operational efficiency through structured automation.

• Build Power BI dashboards aligned to business KPIs with advanced DAX measures, standardized templates, and performance optimization
• Design data models and ETL pipelines; validate data quality and maintain dimensional modeling standards; optimize SQL performance
• Own KPI governance including formal KPI definitions, centralized KPI dictionary, and prevent conflicting metrics
• Build Power Automate workflows for approvals, notifications, and triggers with reliability and exception handling; integrate API-based automation
• Enforce data governance and security through RBAC, Power BI row-level security, and compliance with access policies
• Validate outputs against source systems; perform reconciliation checks, audit trails, and root cause analysis for discrepancies

• 5+ years of BI/data analytics experience with enterprise reporting and strong relational database background
• Advanced Power BI skills with DAX expertise
• Data modeling experience with star and snowflake schemas
• Advanced SQL Server skills including queries, stored procedures, and indexing
• ETL experience with SSIS or Azure Data Factory preferred
• Power Automate proficiency including cloud/desktop flows, REST/JSON integrations, and orchestration logic
• Azure data services knowledge including Azure SQL, ADF, and Synapse with governance capabilities
• Agile experience required
• PL-300 certification mandatory; DP-203 recommended

Senior-level position with authority over KPI modeling and automation framework principles. Cannot redefine KPIs without PO/business alignment or bypass governance and access policies.
