Medical Records Collector (Remote)

Lensa promotes this role on behalf of Molina Healthcare. The Medical Records Collector supports medical records collection and quality improvement efforts by coordinating outreach to providers and gathering HEDIS-related documentation for projects and audits. The purpose of the role is to help enable quality and cost-effective member care through accurate, timely record retrieval and uploads.

• Conduct provider outreach via phone, fax, mail, EMR retrieval, and direct on-site pick up to collect medical records.
• Load medical records and reports from provider offices into the HEDIS application.
• Support annual HEDIS audit and similar audits by organizing outreach, pursuit, collection, and upload of records into internal databases.
• Provide coordination and project management support to leadership and HEDIS staff to identify, pursue, and collect required records and data.
• Participate in meetings with vendors related to the medical record collection process.
• Travel as needed for medical records collection activities.

• At least 1 year of customer service experience (preferably administrative support in a healthcare setting) or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Valid and unrestricted driver’s license, reliable transportation, and adequate auto insurance for job-related travel.
• Excellent customer service and active listening skills.
• Proficiency with data analysis tools (e.g., Excel).
• Ability to manage files, schedules, and information efficiently.
• Ability to interface effectively with staff, clinicians, and leadership.
• Strong prioritization skills and attention to detail.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including professional phone etiquette.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ability to learn new software programs.

Preferred:

• RHIT (Registered Health Information Technician).
• Medical records collection experience.
• Managed care experience.
• Basic knowledge of HEDIS and NCQA.
• Project planning experience.

• Remote role.
• Hourly pay range: $14.00–$26.42 (actual compensation varies by location, experience, education, and skill level).
