Forecast Analyst
Summary
Unilever is hiring a Forecast Analyst to support and improve its Forecast Engine Utility (FEU), an ML/AI platform that produces volume forecasts for the U.S. market. The role bridges business teams, data science, and ML Ops to translate business needs into forecasting requirements and improve forecast clarity, interpretability, and decision-making.
What you'll do
- Lead FEU reporting, analytics, and interpretability for the U.S. market.
- Translate business challenges into clear features and model requirements for forecasting solutions.
- Ensure FEU design principles are consistently reflected in production outputs and ways of working.
- Collaborate with global partners on FEU architecture, enhancements, and governance.
- Enhance tools and outputs that explain ML-driven forecast changes and drivers.
- Maintain analytics frameworks supporting S&OP, scenario planning, and attribution.
- Deliver clear, compelling data-driven storytelling to guide business decisions.
- Conduct exploratory analysis and evaluate model outputs for quality and usefulness.
- Operate within multi-system data environments (e.g., Data Lake, Power BI, RapidResponse).
- Leverage GenAI and Copilot 365 for insights, automation, and narrative building.
- Work cross-functionally with Demand Analytics, Customer Development, Data Science, ML Ops, and global FEU teams.
- Identify opportunities to improve FEU logic, explainability, testing, and rollout of updates.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Operations, Supply Chain, Computer Science, IT, Analytics, or a related field.
2+ years of experience in Supply Chain, Planning, Data Science, IT, or Analytics.
Experience with ML-driven or statistical forecasting tools.
Strong analytical skills and proficiency with reporting/BI tools (Power BI); Python/SQL are a plus.
Digital fluency and foundational AI/ML literacy; comfort working with GenAI-enabled workflows.
Strong collaboration, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Proactive problem-solving mindset and ability to work in fast-paced, technology-forward environments.
Conditions
Compensation: pay range stated as $71,400 to $107,200 annually; bonus eligible and long-term incentive (LTI) eligible.
