Executive Assistant
Summary
The Walt Disney Company is hiring an Executive Assistant to support the SVP, Communications for Disney Entertainment Studios in a fast-paced studio communications organization. The role provides high-level administrative and operational support to leadership while coordinating across multiple internal teams and external-facing communications needs.
What you'll do
Handle inbound phone calls and media inquiries.
Manage a complex, high-volume executive calendar, including preparation time, travel time, and focus time.
Anticipate priorities, balance competing demands, and remain flexible for last-minute changes.
Schedule conference rooms, meetings, and video chats.
Partner closely with senior leaders and their teams, exercising sound judgment and strong interpersonal skills.
Handle extremely confidential and sensitive information appropriately.
Book multi-city travel, prepare/coordinate briefing documents, and account for time zones and potential disruptions.
Assist with news monitoring/reporting and tracking breaking news.
Help keep external-facing sites (including the studio press site) up to date.
Manage expense reports, subscriptions and renewals, vendor contracts, and payments.
Remain reachable after hours and on weekends when important issues arise.
Requirements
5+ years of experience supporting a Vice President or above (or equivalent).
Strong written and verbal communication skills with high attention to detail.
Excellent organizational skills, ability to multitask, and prioritize deadlines/deliverables.
Proficiency with computers, phones, and office equipment; mastery of Microsoft Office; experience with SAP, Confluence, Concur; comfortable in a Windows environment.
Calm under pressure and able to handle unexpected situations.
High emotional intelligence and ability to build trust and strong working relationships.
Complete reliability and discretion when handling confidential, highly sensitive information.
Flexibility for some evenings/weekends as needed.
Highly professional demeanor with a positive, can-do attitude.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
Preferred: experience at The Walt Disney Company.
Conditions
Location: Burbank.
Standard reference schedule: 40 hours/week; hours may vary based on business needs.
Availability required after hours and on weekends if/when important issues arise.
Compensation includes potential bonus and/or long-term incentive units.
