Executive Assistant

Summary

The Walt Disney Company is hiring an Executive Assistant to support the SVP, Communications for Disney Entertainment Studios in a fast-paced studio communications organization. The role provides high-level administrative and operational support to leadership while coordinating across multiple internal teams and external-facing communications needs.

What you'll do

  • Handle inbound phone calls and media inquiries.

  • Manage a complex, high-volume executive calendar, including preparation time, travel time, and focus time.

  • Anticipate priorities, balance competing demands, and remain flexible for last-minute changes.

  • Schedule conference rooms, meetings, and video chats.

  • Partner closely with senior leaders and their teams, exercising sound judgment and strong interpersonal skills.

  • Handle extremely confidential and sensitive information appropriately.

  • Book multi-city travel, prepare/coordinate briefing documents, and account for time zones and potential disruptions.

  • Assist with news monitoring/reporting and tracking breaking news.

  • Help keep external-facing sites (including the studio press site) up to date.

  • Manage expense reports, subscriptions and renewals, vendor contracts, and payments.

  • Remain reachable after hours and on weekends when important issues arise.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience supporting a Vice President or above (or equivalent).

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with high attention to detail.

  • Excellent organizational skills, ability to multitask, and prioritize deadlines/deliverables.

  • Proficiency with computers, phones, and office equipment; mastery of Microsoft Office; experience with SAP, Confluence, Concur; comfortable in a Windows environment.

  • Calm under pressure and able to handle unexpected situations.

  • High emotional intelligence and ability to build trust and strong working relationships.

  • Complete reliability and discretion when handling confidential, highly sensitive information.

  • Flexibility for some evenings/weekends as needed.

  • Highly professional demeanor with a positive, can-do attitude.

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

  • Preferred: experience at The Walt Disney Company.

Conditions

  • Location: Burbank.

  • Standard reference schedule: 40 hours/week; hours may vary based on business needs.

  • Availability required after hours and on weekends if/when important issues arise.

  • Compensation includes potential bonus and/or long-term incentive units.
