REMOTE Medical Scheduler

Medix is hiring a Remote Patient Access Representative (Medical Scheduler) for a remote contract-to-hire role supporting the patient care journey. The role serves as the first point of contact, handling high-volume calls to schedule appointments and complete patient registration tasks while meeting strict quality and productivity metrics.

• Manage a high volume of inbound and outbound patient calls routed through an automated system
• Collect and verify patient demographic information
• Pre-register and verify insurance coverage
• Schedule medical appointments for hospital and outpatient services
• Provide clear and accurate information to patients and educate them on self-service options
• Maintain a quality score of 97% or higher
• Meet performance metrics including approximately 55 calls per day and a 6.5-minute average handle time
• Participate in mandatory daily team huddles and meetings with camera on

• Recent experience with EPIC (within the last 2 years)
• Strong customer service skills and ability to manage 55+ calls per day
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, metrics-driven environment
• Quiet, dedicated workspace and willingness to be on camera during meetings
• Minimum internet speed of 25 MBPS (no hotspots permitted)
• High School Diploma or GED

Preferred:

• Recent healthcare scheduling or contact center experience
• Experience with Five9 telephony systems
• Familiarity with Epic Cadence
• Knowledge of medical terminology
