Associate, Finance COE – Programs & Innovation

Summary

LinkedIn is building a Strategic Finance Center of Excellence (COE) to centralize, standardize, and modernize key financial operations. The Associate, Finance COE – Programs & Innovation will own end-to-end finance process workstreams (initially focused on headcount/position management for the Marketplace/GTM business unit) to improve scalability, accuracy, and efficiency through cross-functional collaboration.

What you'll do

  • Serve as business process owner for designated finance workstreams, driving consistency, scalability, and operational excellence.
  • Design and redesign processes to improve accuracy, reduce manual effort, and increase end-to-end efficiency in financial operations.
  • Partner with finance stakeholders and systems teams to define best practices and execute change management.
  • Develop data-informed narratives and presentations to influence stakeholders and support decisions.
  • Ensure quality assurance of outputs, including validation of accuracy, completeness, and adherence to standards prior to delivery.
  • Execute against defined timelines and SLAs for deliverables.
  • Operationalize standard workstreams and procedures; gather stakeholder feedback and convert it into data-driven recommendations.
  • Access, transform, and synthesize data across sources to identify signals, trends, and risks.
  • Conduct ad hoc analyses to answer well-defined business questions and generate actionable insights.
  • Support organizational culture and values (including diversity, inclusion, and belonging) through collaboration and participation in initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Business Analytics, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in finance, accounting, management consulting, investment banking, or related field.
  • Preferred: 3+ years of relevant experience (FP&A, Finance Ops, or related), ideally in process design/redesign for financial operations (e.g., expense and headcount management, accruals, position management, forecasting).
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Excel.
  • Experience with SQL and data/BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
  • Program/project management experience owning work end-to-end, including communication and stakeholder management across complex stakeholder groups.
  • Proactive problem-solver with strong ownership mindset and ability to tackle complex operational issues.
  • Suggested skills: process design & documentation, stakeholder management, financial acumen, data analysis, project & change management.

Conditions

  • Location: hybrid work model (work from home and from a LinkedIn office on select days based on business needs).
  • Offices listed: Mountain View, CA and Sunnyvale, CA (Bay Area).
  • Compensation includes base pay range plus potential annual performance bonus, stock, benefits, and/or other incentives.
