Office Assistant
Summary
Lensa is promoting an Office Assistant opportunity on behalf of SSM Health. The role provides administrative and clerical support to a clinic, department, or program to help ensure smooth daily operations and patient-facing service.
What you'll do
Perform administrative duties under supervision and within established guidelines.
Greet patients and visitors.
Answer, screen, and route telephone calls.
File documents and distribute mail.
Provide general clerical support, including making copies.
Schedule and manage appointments.
Maintain records and assist with assembling and maintaining patient charts.
Assist providers with programs/software as needed.
Maintain office inventory, order supplies, and ensure equipment is in working order; request repairs/maintenance as needed.
Communicate with patients, families, physicians, and healthcare team members about patient care according to protocol.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Education: High School diploma/GED or 10 years of work experience.
Experience: No experience required.
Certifications/Licenses: None required.
Physical: Frequent lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling 0-25 lbs; occasional 25-50 lbs; frequent sitting/standing/walking/reaching and repetitive movements; frequent keyboarding/data entry; occasional bending/stooping/kneeling/squatting/twisting/gripping; rare climbing; frequent vision/hearing/speech use.
