The Product Analyst joins the Analytics Team to provide reporting, analysis, and experimentation insights that help optimize macys.com, with a strong focus on SEO-driven growth and customer experience improvements.
What you'll do
Support Product Management/SEO and Technology teams by identifying opportunities to increase site conversion with a focus on SEO.
Identify technical SEO opportunities and deliver data-backed recommendations.
Monitor SEO trends, algorithm updates, and competitor performance.
Build and maintain SEO dashboards using Tableau, Adobe Analytics, and/or Looker, integrating multiple data sources for accurate reporting.
Partner with Marketing to assess holistic SERP performance, support forecasting, and provide insight-based recommendations.
Design and analyze A/B and multivariate tests; validate test data; report results to quantify impact on traffic, conversion, and related metrics.
Gather reporting requirements for new site functionality and help define analytics specifications for technology teams (including correct analytics code implementation).
Deliver ad hoc analyses to influence the product roadmap; present clear, actionable insights to digital leadership and stakeholders.
Demonstrate strong command of digital analytics tools to achieve business objectives.
Support and train internal users on digital analytics tools.
Stay current on digital analytics and e-commerce best practices.
Foster an inclusive, respectful team environment and maintain reliable attendance and punctuality.
Requirements
5+ years of direct experience in digital analytics or digital marketing with a focus on SEO.
Ability to answer complex business questions connecting search engine query to sale; preference for experience with large retailers.
Experience with SEO tools such as Google Search Console, Google Analytics, SEOClarity, Screaming Frog, SEMrush, and/or similar tools.
Proficiency with digital analytics and dashboarding tools (Tableau, Adobe Analytics, Looker).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to translate data into actionable insights.
Strong communication skills to explain technical findings succinctly to stakeholders across levels.
Project management ability to manage multiple priorities and timelines with quality deliverables.
Cross-functional collaboration experience with Product, Marketing, UX, and Engineering/Technology partners.
Good understanding of HTML, website design, and web analytics.
Must demonstrate proficiency writing and troubleshooting SQL/GBQ queries.
Ability to adapt to changing priorities and tight timelines; continuous learning mindset.
Physical requirements include regularly sitting, talking, hearing, and using hands/fingers; occasional movement and reaching; requires close vision.
Conditions
