Summary

Macy’s, America’s Department Store and a leading NYC-based digital retailer, is hiring a Business Intelligence & Digital Analyst on the Digital Analytics team in New York. This role serves as the technical driver of a data-driven culture by developing data pipelines and dashboards that support daily digital operations and decision-making.

What you'll do

  • Design, build, iterate, and maintain scalable dashboards to provide real-time visibility into digital performance (e.g., Tableau/Power BI).
  • Develop and optimize SQL queries to extract, transform, validate, and ensure accuracy of data from multiple databases and environments.
  • Research, map, and document data dependencies and data flow across internal systems and third-party tools (e.g., Adobe Analytics) to ensure reporting consistency.
  • Translate business questions into technical logic and deliver production-ready metrics and reports.
  • Monitor data integrity across reporting suites; identify and resolve discrepancies in pipelines and visualization layers.
  • Support data literacy and enable self-service analytics by training and assisting business users with tools and dashboards.
  • Collaborate with analytics, engineering, product, and business stakeholders to deliver actionable data solutions aligned to strategy.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience analyzing data and building comprehensive dashboards in an enterprise setting.
  • Strong command of SQL and experience working with large-scale data warehouses for querying, transforming, and validating data across multiple sources.
  • Proficiency with dashboarding and visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Adobe Analytics, and Excel.
  • Experience with Python.
  • Ability to trace metrics from dashboards back to source systems and understand underlying logic.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy across platforms.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to translate complex data concepts into clear, actionable insights; effective cross-functional collaboration.
  • Curious and proactive mindset; interest in exploring emerging technologies (e.g., AI agents, advanced analytics platforms).
