Legal Office Assistant
Summary
Orchestrate Consulting Group curates and validates opportunities from verified employers in the government environmental and land use hearings space. The Legal Office Assistant supports legal professionals by managing public inquiries, electronic filings, and administrative coordination. The role helps ensure accurate documentation and smooth operations that contribute to important environmental decisions.
What you'll do
- Serve as the first point of contact for the public, vendors, and customers; provide assistance and route inquiries appropriately
- Monitor and respond to electronic filings and inquiries across ELUHO inboxes
- Prepare agendas and take minutes during Board meetings
- Maintain office supplies, inventory, and organization of office spaces
- Assist with preparation and filing of legal documents, ensuring accuracy and compliance
Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent
Two (2) years of clerical experience, including six (6) months in a legal or professional office environment
At least two years of proficiency with MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Experience with legal office software for document processing and data tracking
One year of personal/professional experience with video conferencing tools (Zoom or Microsoft Teams)
Ability to communicate effectively, manage multiple priorities, and work independently
Preferred: experience in state government or legal office; knowledge of legal office practices and court rules; familiarity with legal research/documentation; ability to handle difficult public conversations; commitment to equity and inclusion
Conditions
Salary up to $4,771 per month
