Summary
Greenlight is a family fintech company serving over 6 million parents and kids with a banking app that helps families build financial skills. The Data Analyst will join the Marketing Science team to lead analytics across growth marketing, registration, and website performance, setting measurement frameworks and translating insights into stakeholder decisions.
What you'll do
- Own analytical coverage across growth marketing, registration, and website analytics by setting measurement frameworks, building scalable reporting, and driving the analytics roadmap for the domain
- Lead analysis on complex and ambiguous questions, including incrementality testing, LTV and payback modeling, attribution deep dives, funnel decomposition, and cohort analysis
- Build and own dbt models that encode reusable business logic to power dashboards, reporting, and self-serve analytics
- Build and maintain Tableau dashboards that provide reliable performance visibility across growth, registration, and web
- Partner with marketing stakeholders to scope problems, validate interpretations, and ensure findings translate into decisions
- Use Claude (or similar AI tools) to accelerate SQL, produce documentation, QA work, and improve analytical workflows; help define team best practices for AI-assisted analytics
- Mentor junior analysts by reviewing work, helping structure ambiguous problems, and setting quality standards
- Proactively identify and resolve gaps in data quality, metric definitions, reporting coverage, and stakeholder understanding
Requirements
- 4–8 years of experience in a data or analytics role
- Hands-on experience with at least one marketing channel (paid search preferred), such as paid social, TV/CTV, affiliates, or direct mail; multi-channel experience is a plus

- Experience with dbt (especially owning production models) is a strong plus
- Proficiency using Claude or similar AI tools for analytics, with the ability to validate outputs
- Ability to write readable, maintainable Python for analytics (data manipulation, automation, scripting), including pandas and fluid switching between SQL and Python
- Understanding of attribution models, experimentation fundamentals, and business metrics such as LTV, CAC, and payback period
- Strong ownership and initiative: ability to scope work, drive to conclusions, and manage a backlog without heavy stakeholder oversight
