Junior Credit Decision Analyst

Summary

YouLend is a high-growth fintech providing embedded financing technology to major e-commerce platforms and payment providers. The Junior Credit Decision Analyst supports credit decisioning and pricing for merchant applications using proprietary tools, ensuring data quality and collaborating with Credit Risk and Data Science to improve outcomes.

What you'll do

  • Analyze, interpret, and visualize data trends using intermediate Excel skills.

  • Identify and assess data patterns to support accurate credit decision-making.

  • Evaluate merchant applications using critical thinking to assess risk.

  • Underwrite and evaluate deals to determine creditworthiness and risk exposure.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders (including Credit Risk) to align on credit decisions.

  • Validate the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of deal information throughout the decisioning process.

  • Contribute ideas and feedback to improve processes, automation, and operational efficiency.

Requirements

  • Degree in Finance, Economics, Data Science, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).

  • Experience in a credit, financial analysis, or data-related role (including internships).

  • Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, lookups, data visualization).

  • Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail and focus on accuracy and quality.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

  • Proactive, adaptable attitude suited to a fast-paced, tech-driven environment.

  • Passion for using data and technology to improve business decisions.

  • Nice to have: familiarity with SQL and/or BI tools (Looker, Tableau, Power BI).
