Psychologist Assistant (Remote)

Mind Friend is a fast-growing telehealth platform providing accessible psychological support to clients remotely. The Telehealth Psychologist Assistant supports licensed psychologists by serving as the first point of contact for clients and ensuring smooth clinical operations in a virtual care setting.
What you'll do
- Guide new clients through the intake process, ensuring paperwork, consent forms, and assessments are completed before the first session
- Coordinate calendars, schedule appointments, and manage cancellations/rescheduling for multiple psychologists
- Provide virtual room and technical support, troubleshooting video/audio/platform connectivity issues before or during sessions
- Assist with clinical administration by preparing session materials, organizing electronic health records (EHR), and proofreading non-clinical documentation
- Respond to patient inquiries via email and secure messaging with warmth, professionalism, and promptness
- Maintain confidentiality and ensure compliance with HIPAA and other patient privacy regulations
Requirements
Experience: 3+ years as a psychology assistant, psychiatric technician, mental-health medical assistant, or similar clinical support role
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a closely related field
Technical: Proficiency with telehealth software, electronic health records (EHR), and secure communication platforms
Soft skills: High emotional intelligence, active listening, and ability to remain calm and supportive with individuals in distress
Compliance: Strong understanding of HIPAA and patient data security best practices
